How Much Can I Expect To Buy Wii For

Although the normal price for a Wii console should be around $250 in the US there is only a small chance you'll be able to purchase it for this price especially if you are not prepared for a long wait.

There are several places you could check out if you're planning to buy a wii:

BestBuy.com: $249.99 (includes wii sports, no bundle) - BestBuy offers the lowest price but currently sold out online

GameStop.com: $474.93 (also includes Adventure Bundle or Family Bundle) - currently in stock

Pandorascube.com $699.99 (includes Family Bundle for 4 players, charger, 1GB SD memory card couple of more items) - in stock

Wallmart: from $660.46 (customer choice bundle)- out of stock

Amazon.com: prices vary from $345 for refurbished or used wii systems, new wii console sells from $380 plus depending on bundle it comes with.

If you want to buy a wii console right now, your best bet may be eBay. You can place a bid or look for "Buy It Now" sign to buy your wii straight away (fixed price).

What should I expect to get when you buy wii

Basic Nintendo Wii comes with pre-installed games which include the Wii Sports. Wii Sports is collection of Sport Games that all gamers would surely love. It offers tennis, golf, bowling, baseball and even boxing. You can also download all the classic games that you love via wireless connection using 'Wii points'.

Your Nintendo Wii can have a whole lot of other incredible applications which are often sold bundled with the wii console but you can also buy them separately. Examples include Mario Party 8, the Legend of Zelda: The Twilight Princess, Pokemon Battle Revolution, Metroid Prime 3: The Corruption and the Super Smash Brothers Brawl and many many others.

What ships with basic Wii console ($249)
  • Wii Console with console stand
  • Wii Remote
  • Nunchuk
  • Wii Sensor Bar
  • Wii AC adapter and Wii AV Cable
  • Wii Sports Disc
  • Latest versions (2008) come with Remote Jacket (plastic sleeve)

Wii Bundles - Is it a good deal to buy wii console with a bundle?

Buying wii console with a bundle of games and accessories will cost you substantially more but sometimes you can get a good deal if you shop around and get a good bundle to go with it. After all, sooner or later you will want some good selection of games on your wii, and probably also a second controller, extra nunchuk and possibly other cool accessories.

How much does it cost when you buy wii items separately
Wii console: $249
Games: most games cost around $35 - $50
Extra controller: $40
Extra nunchuk: $20
----------------------
Total: $344 - 359

How much will it cost to buy wii bundle
Every retailer offers his own bundles that can include games, accessories, wii points etc. Far not all bundles offered are such a good deal. But if you have patience and time you may be lucky to find something good.

Let's look at WalMart's bundle which at least lets you chose 6 games and 1 accessory: lowest price $660.46. Here is a breakdown:

Console $249 (but hard to get for this price)
extra wii remote $40
extra nunchuk $20
1 accessory of your choice &20
Mario Party 8 (this is a great family disc) $49
6 games of your choice (between $45 - $55) $300

The total value of this offer is $678 so nearly the same as when bought separately. WalMart offers a great selection of games as opposed to many other retailers which in many cases don't let you chose your games.

Unfortunately, WalMart, and many other stores offering attractive bundles are out of stock for wii at the moment so keep checking if you have time to wait.

Conclusion

Buying a wii bundle will not necessarily save you money but it is hard to find a wii console without a bundle. So if you want to buy a wii now, get a wii with a bundle of games and accessories you would want to buy later anyway.

Buy Wii on eBay

How to buy wii on eBay

Sometimes you can get great deals on eBay so it's definitively worth to check it out.

Also, if you just want a basic (unbundled) console you have a better chance to get it through eBay then anywhere else. However, in this case you may have to pay a couple of bucks more then the normal retail price ($249).

There are principally two ways to buy your wii on eBay. You can either place a bid or you can buy it for fixed price when you see a 'Buy It Now' sign next to the listing.

Before buying wii on eBay always check the sellers item description, delivery time, terms and conditions, and sellers credibility (feedback) before paying.

If you want to place a bid do so near the expiry time, expect the price shooting up in the last couple of minutes.

I gave this lens 5 stars and I favorite it. My favorite Wii game is Super Smash Bros. Brawl. This is the best Wii game ever, in my opinion.
